How many employees do you need to license data to AI companies?
Buyers typically set a floor of 20 to 30 employees, though some publish none, and brokers' ads mention anything between 10 and 50. Below: each buyer's rule, and what makes sense at your headcount.

What the ads say
Brokers advertising on Meta cite minimums anywhere from 10 to 50+, usually 20 or 30. A higher bar signals a stricter buyer, not a better one. No broker can get you past the floor of the buyer it works with, so ask who that buyer is.
03
Why buyers count heads first
Headcount is a fast proxy for how much written work you produce. It is not the whole picture. Some buyers care more about how long and rich the record is: a firm of 25 whose inboxes span 12 years and whose help desk never stops can beat a firm of 60 that moved to new software last year.
04
What to do at your size
- 10 to 19 staff: ask before preparing anything. Look at buyers with no stated floor, and Mode if you are an accounting or law firm. See under 20 employees.
- 20 to 29 staff: you meet many floors. Count full-time office staff carefully.
- 30 or more: most buyers will talk to you. Compare a few before choosing.
