Is micro1 legit? What the record shows

Short answer: yes, micro1 is a real and well funded company. Forbes reported a raise of over $100M at a $4B valuation, and it has publicly committed $1B to buying company data.

Most doubt comes from the first contact: Facebook form ads, ads Meta took down, and many referral sites echoing the same figures. Below is the public record, plus how to confirm you are talking to micro1 itself.

02

Why owners are suspicious

The company-data ads send people to a lead form inside Facebook rather than to a micro1 page. Meta removed several of these ads in September and October 2026 for breaching its advertising standards, and it does not show what they said. The ads also mention closed companies with 25+ staff, while micro1's own pages say 30+.

None of that makes micro1 a scam. It does mean you should verify the contact before you share anything.

03

Sites that use micro1's numbers but are not micro1

Several new sites pass owners to micro1 for a referral fee. Some say so openly, others less so. Their eligibility rules can differ from micro1's own, and their figures are not micro1's offer.

Under micro1's referral rules, a referrer cannot claim to be its agent or partner. A site that acts like it is micro1, or names a price for micro1, is a red flag. Where we earn a referral fee from any buyer, our disclosure page says so.

04

Four checks before you send anything

  • Reach micro1 through micro1.ai or a referrer that discloses the relationship, never a form you cannot trace.
  • Check that the sender's email ends in micro1.ai, micro1.io or micro1.co, the domains micro1 lists as official. Referrers may not use micro1 addresses.
  • Request the exact Data License Master Terms for your deal, then read the parts on sublicensing and deletion.
  • Get a second written offer from another buyer before you reply.

05

Six checks before you send micro1 anything

We run the same checks on every buyer we rank. They take an afternoon and they protect the one thing you cannot take back: the copy of your records.

  • Find the legal entity. A registered company name, an address and at least one named person. A Facebook form alone is not enough.
  • Get the offer and the contract in writing before any export. A sample agreement tells you more than a sales call.
  • Ask who strips personal data, how, and when. You should approve the method and see a sample before anything leaves your systems.
  • Ask where the data goes. Which AI companies receive it, whether you are told, and whether it can be resold.
  • Ask how everyone is paid. By you, by the buyer, or out of your deal. Referral fees are normal; hidden ones are not.
  • Get a second quote. Terms from at least one other buyer is the fastest way to know if an offer is fair.
