Who FileYield buys from
Any data owner willing to run its own deal. FileYield says the marketplace is meant for AI developers, research teams, data platforms and enterprises sourcing licensed data.
03
What FileYield pays
Buyers set prices in conversation with you. For comparison, Datarade takes 15% to 30% commission depending on the seller's plan.
04
The contract terms
FileYield neither checks data nor holds money, so the rest falls to you: scrubbing personal data, confirming you may license it, checking out the buyer, drafting the contract and getting paid.
Its terms also bar both sides from moving a deal off the platform to avoid its fees once a connection is made, and give FileYield a broad license to display what you post. A note at the bottom says the terms are a draft that has not been reviewed by a lawyer.

What FileYield offers
FileYield is a listing site run by Dployers LLC in Phoenix. It calls itself a brokered marketplace: you describe a dataset in plain words, it publishes the listing after review, and buyers message you. It can also pitch an approved listing to relevant buyer categories. It never handles the files or the money. We found no funding, team page or news coverage.

07
Is FileYield a fit for your company?
Best for an owner with a lawyer on hand who wants to manage the deal directly. Bring your own license agreement, and hold the files back until payment is settled.
08
Six checks before you send FileYield anything
We run the same checks on every buyer we rank. They take an afternoon and they protect the one thing you cannot take back: the copy of your records.
- Find the legal entity. A registered company name, an address and at least one named person. A Facebook form alone is not enough.
- Get the offer and the contract in writing before any export. A sample agreement tells you more than a sales call.
- Ask who strips personal data, how, and when. You should approve the method and see a sample before anything leaves your systems.
- Ask where the data goes. Which AI companies receive it, whether you are told, and whether it can be resold.
- Ask how everyone is paid. By you, by the buyer, or out of your deal. Referral fees are normal; hidden ones are not.
- Get a second quote. Terms from at least one other buyer is the fastest way to know if an offer is fair.
FAQ
Questions, answered
Does FileYield buy data?
No. It is a listing marketplace that connects sellers and buyers.
Are OpenAI and Anthropic buying on FileYield?
Its pages contradict each other. One lists them among active buyers; the homepage and FAQ say the names are industry references and imply no affiliation.
Can we finish a deal with a buyer outside FileYield?
Its terms forbid negotiating off the platform to avoid its fees once a connection has been made. Factor its 8% into your price.
